Prefabricated Roof Framing from Poland: CNC Manufacturing and EU Delivery
Planning a timber roof structure or a timber frame building in another European Union country? Learn how to prepare drawings for CNC cutting, compare manufacturing quotations and organise delivery from Poland to your project site.
What is prefabricated roof framing?
Prefabricated roof framing means preparing structural timber elements away from the construction site, according to the relevant project documentation. Depending on the order, this can include measuring and cutting rafters and purlins, machining notches and joints, and identifying each timber for assembly. A CNC carpentry machine can make repeated cuts more consistent, but production accuracy still depends on correct design information, approved dimensions and appropriate quality control.
For a simple gable roof, the order may contain common rafters, ridge and support members. Hip or more complex roofs can include hip rafters, jack rafters, valleys and trimmers around openings. The exact bill of materials is project-specific, and structural dimensions must be checked by the responsible designer or engineer.
What can be included in a timber manufacturing order?
CNC roof framing
Fabrication enquiries for rafters, purlins, roof members and selected connection details based on the project.
Timber frame structures
Structural timber components for house frames, roof structures and selected floor or wall assemblies, where technically feasible.
Material and workshop scope
Specification of timber type, required strength grade, member dimensions, machining, labelling and preparation.
Transport quotation
Optional delivery planning, including the destination, load dimensions, unloading requirements and route feasibility.
What drawings and details do suppliers need?
For an initial enquiry, send what you already have. Accurate manufacturing pricing will normally require more complete information than a building’s floor area alone:
- Roof or building drawings: dimensioned plans, sections, relevant elevations, roof pitch and spans.
- Structural specification: required timber grades, cross-sections, connections and any engineering requirements.
- Member schedule: element IDs, lengths, quantities and machining details, if available.
- Requested scope: timber supply, CNC cutting, numbering, packaging, delivery and any installation enquiry.
- Indicative schedule: when production and delivery are needed, allowing for project review.
- Delivery information: include the country, region or town and approximate postcode in the project description if you want transport priced.
You may attach drawings or a PDF through the English quotation form. If you need a cutting schedule before requesting a price, consult the roof framing cutting list guide. Please remove unnecessary personal details from project files before forwarding them.
From drawings to a project-specific offer.
Krokwio is an enquiry channel, not the manufacturing contractor. Commercial terms and the final scope of production are confirmed separately.
Describe your project
Send drawings or a PDF, indicate the type of structure and state which services you need.
Clarify the requirements
The available manufacturing scope, timber specification and possible delivery are reviewed for quotation.
Compare the actual scope
Review the itemised offer and confirm any missing details before contracting directly with the manufacturer.
Can roof framing be delivered from Poland to other EU countries?
Enquiries can cover destinations in the European Union, including Germany, Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, the Netherlands and Belgium. Transport may be provided using the manufacturer’s own vehicles, but no destination or delivery date is guaranteed before an individual transport quotation. Long timber members, vehicle access, total loading dimensions and unloading equipment can all affect feasibility and cost.
Ask the contractor to clarify who arranges transport, unloading, packaging and delivery insurance, and when the risk transfers. For a site with narrow access, restricted vehicle weight or difficult unloading conditions, provide this information before accepting an offer.
What influences the price of prefabricated roof timber?
- Timber volume and specification: structural grade, dimensions, moisture requirements and selected timber product.
- Geometry and machining: number of members, cut complexity, machining time, joints and special parts.
- Preparation: labelling, packing, project verification and any additional workshop operations.
- Logistics: shipping distance, vehicle type, load size, scheduling and unloading.
- Installation: if available, site assembly is a separate item unless explicitly included.
Be cautious with a headline price per cubic metre. Two offers are not comparable unless they cover the same timber grade, element list, machining scope, transport and delivery terms. Confirm whether VAT, packaging, unloading and connection hardware are included.
Roof framing and timber frame houses: what is the difference?
A roof framing order normally covers specified roof structural members. A timber frame house enquiry may also involve wall frames, floors and further structural assemblies. Neither term automatically includes insulation, cladding, windows, foundations, weatherproofing or a completed building. State clearly whether you need only CNC-cut timber, a structural frame, prefabricated wall assemblies, delivery or a wider service.
Does CNC fabrication replace structural engineering?
No. CNC manufacturing follows production geometry and machining instructions; it does not determine whether a structure is safe or complies with the destination country’s building rules. The appropriate structural design, verification and any required local approvals remain the responsibility of the relevant professionals.
Questions about ordering timber structures from Poland
Can I request a quotation in English?
Yes. Krokwio has an English-language quotation form for roof framing, timber frame houses and prefabricated timber structures.
Can I upload technical drawings?
You can attach a PDF or an accepted drawing image, subject to the file limit shown on the form. More details may be requested before a binding manufacturing quotation.
Is delivery included in the manufacturing price?
Do not assume so. Ask for manufacturing and transport to be specified separately, including unloading arrangements.
Can the contractor deliver to my EU country?
You can enquire about EU delivery. Route, availability, vehicle suitability and final transport costs must be confirmed individually.
Who handles the quotation request?
Initial enquiries are handled by Krokwio. We coordinate the initial communication; the contractor confirms the actual manufacturing and delivery proposal.
